What’s best about summer?

Apart from the glorious weather, that’s a hard one, but if we really had to choose we would go for a hot day out on the shores of Lake Annecy! There is plenty of wild swimming in and around the valley, but there is something magical about taking a dip in Lake Annecy and we would recommend you head for Tailloires beach.

A small village on the Eastern edge of the Lake, Tailloires has plenty of parking, a range of restaurants and a great beach bar. It’s about 1h 15 from our chalets and well worth the visit. The water is perfect with steps down into the lake or you can take to the diving board and jump straight in! In summer, there are lifeguards and safe swimming areas which are perfect for families.
